REHABILITATION SERVICES

Physical Therapy
William Newton Hospital has 4 physcial therapists. We also have a full time CPTA. As a group we provide acute, skilled and outpatient services, in addition to consulting services and home health. Our therapists see patients who are referred from our local physicians and from specialists outside the Winfield area.

We provide a full array of services to patients including:
Neurological patients/stroke rehabilitation in all settings (IP, OP, HH, Skilled)
Post trauma including fractures and sports medicine injuries
Post surgical
Burns and wound care including wound vac
Post prosthesis rehab and orthotic care/management
Acute chronic pain management and treatments including a wide variety of modalities TENS (Transcutaneos Electrical Nerve Stimulations)
Development of spcialized home programs for muscle weakness/inbalances and care giver education
Modalities for pain control and swelling etc.

Occupational Therapy & Orthotic Fabrication
WNH has a OTR and COTA on staff. We provide training for patients to allow them to dress, feed and care for themselves. We also provide information for getting any specialized equipment and coping strategies for individuals such as low vision or poor memory, etc.
We provide a wide range of services to the patient which include:
Neuro/Stroke Rehab
Post Trauma/Fracture care
Scar Tissue Massage
Activities of Daily Living and Equipment Training
Splint Fabrication and patient teaching
Modalities for pain control/soft tissue work for extensiblity and edema reduction.
