Pre-placement Health Screens
The goal of any preplacement screening should be to match the job with the person. This helps to protect both the prospective employee and the employer. WNH's Occupational Health Department can assist the employer to individualize screening based on specific needs of the position. Services could include: chemistry profile, cholesterol levels, blood count, back or chest x-ray, pulmonary functioning, EKG, (resting or stress), height, weight, health history, vision exam, drug/alcohol testing, and hearing screen.

Physical Capacity Profile
This state of the art computerized testing, when performed post-offer aids the prospective employer to avoid the placement of an individual into a position that they are not physically capable of performing. When employees are physically matched to the job, they are less likely to be injured on the job. This testing includes:

          Body Fat
          Spirometry
          Squats
          Sit-ups
          Lumbar Range of Motion
          Supination of Wrist
          Pronation of Wrist

Drug and Alcohol Testing
We can assist your efforst as an employer to ensure a drug free workplace. Drug screen specimens are collected for pre-employment, post accident, random, for suspicion or follow-up. Specimens are collected following strict chain of custody guidelines. Breath Alcohol testing is done with results available within minutes. Both DOT and non-DOT testing is offered.

CPR/First Aid Training
We offer CPR and/or first aid training for the workplace by qualified instructors. Many employers desire to have staff members trained to respond to a health related emergency in their place of business.

Occupational Health Nursing
Professional nursing services can be provided onsite. This is tailored to the needs of the particular business.

Employee Assistance
A benefit that employers can offer to thier employees. Referrals are made for substance abuse problems, finanical counseling, marital problems, other mental health issues, legal advice etc. Available community resources are utilized, as are insurance benefits. Program's strength is confidentiality.

Medical Surveillance
Based on a client's need, we can provide various lab or ancillary services when periodic assessments are recommended, i.e. respirator use, hazardous material exposure, etc.

Health Promotion
In conjuction with Healthways of WNH, we offer various health screenings/health fair opportunities in an occupational setting.
