AURAL REHABILITATION
Aural rehabilitation training is often helpful in overcoming many of the difficulties associated with hearing impairment. If your hearing loss cannot be medically treated, the audiologist will help you to learn techniques to deal with the handicapping effects of the hearing loss and to help you overcome the communicative, social, and psychological effects of hearing impairment. These techniques may include speech reading, auditory discrimination training, sign language, and education regarding appropriate assistive listening devices.
